Eurocup Clio

Still on its summer break at the Hungaroring, Eurocup Clio makes its return to the calendar in France. Boosted by his two wins at the Red Bull Ring, Massimiliano Pedala (Composit Motorsport) holds the lead in the overall standings and will be intent on maintaining his advantage over closest challengers Josh Files (Team Pyro) and Nicolas Milan (Team LMV CL Brakes).

The battle between gentleman driver Massimiliano Pedala, the young Josh Files and the 2011 champion Nicolas Milan, who was absent from the podium in Austria, should be one to savour. Both the Italian and the Frenchman know the track well, having won here in 2011, with Nicolas Milan’s victory clinching him the title on that occasion.

A poleman at the Red Bull Ring, Denmark’s Thomas Fjordbach (Polar Seafood Racing) is hoping to convert his one-lap speed into a maiden triumph in the class and leapfrog Eric Tremoulet (Vic’Team), who lies fourth in the points after a blank weekend at Spielberg.

Regularly in the points, Facundo Della Motta (Milan Competition), Gonzalo Martin de Andres (SMC Junior Motorsport), Daniele Perfetti (Seminole Racing Team) and Ivan Pulic (Lema Racing Team) are all eyeing a first visit to the podium, while reigning Eurocup Clio champion Oscar Nogues (RMS Engineering) has nothing left to lose and will most surely be one to watch out for.
