Eurocup Mégane Trophy

Mike Verschuur (McGregor by Equipe Verschuur) is the only man that can stop Mirko Bortolotti (Oregon Team 2) taking the title. But after going off in race one in Budapest, the 2009 Eurocup Megane Trophy champion has no option but to score big against his rival.

Second and third respectively in both races at the Hungaroring, Kelvin Snoeks (Oregon Team 3) and Kevin Gilardoni (Oregon Team 2) raced here last year, unlike the two men ahead of them, which could give them the edge in their quest to score their first victories of the year. A win for Kevin Gilardoni would also secure Oregon Team their third team title in a row.

Forced to retire from race two in Hungary after a shunt, Erik Janis (Gravity Charouz) is hoping to bounce back in style and snatch third place in the points, an objective he shares with Max Braams (Las Moras by Equipe Verschuur) and Steven Palette (Team Lompech Sport).

The rest of the home contingent has plenty to keep them motivated. Margot Laffite (Oregon Team 1) has a top-ten position to defend, while Jean-Charles Miginiac (Team Lompech Sport) is one of the few drivers who can still thwart Jeroen Schothorst (McGregor by Equipe Verschuur) is his bid to take the gentlemen drivers’ crown.
