Eurocup Clio

The track was dry for the Clio Eurocup qualification session. Times improved rapidly and Salvatore Arcarese (Rangoni Motorsport) made the most of the situation.

The French drivers then took things in hand on home turf and Eric Tremoulet put his Clio on provisional pole from Yoann Baziret a few minutes before the end of the session. However, between the evolution of the track and the slipstreaming phenomenon the dying minutes proved decisive.

Rangoni Motorsport made the most of team strategy. Arcarese set his first pole in the Clio Eurocup in 2m 31.205s from his team-mates Oscar Nogues and Massimiliano Pedala. Marc Guillot could do no better than sixth and Mike Verschuur twelfth.

Baziret’s second-quickest time was good enough for pole for the second race from Nogues and Tremoulet with Guillot seventh and Verschuur ninth.
