After the meeting held on the Montmelo circuit which attracted 59 000 spectators, the final total of the crowd figures at the 7 WSR meetings comes to 489 000. In addition to the 2 530 000 tickets handed out, more than 210 000 tickets were downloaded from the internet. This represents another successful campaign for Renault Sport whose aim is to invite families to discover motor sport in a friendly ambience. A quick look back at 2012.
8: the number of F1 drivers who took part in the on-track F1 Show: Sébastien Buemi, Jean-Eric Vergne, Daniel Ricciardo, Alain Prost and Damon Hill at the wheel of the Red-Bull Renault RB6, Romain Grosjean and Jérôme d’Ambrosio in the Lotus-Renault R30 and Vitaly Petrov with the Caterham team.
24: the number of local partners who helped put on the 7 meetings throughout the season. This led to the organization of incredible entertainment like a concert in the Moscow Raceway Village, a Big Wheel in the Nürburgring paddock, the spectacular X-Trem show at Spa-Francorchamps, a Rugby Village at Paul Ricard and an airbatics show in Hungary and France.
150: the number of Renault vehicles on show in the paddock ranging from racing cars to the new Renault Clio, the star of the Paris Motor Show, which was undergoing tests near the Catalonian circuit.
721: the number of Renault collectors who were able to take to the track with their own cars on the most beautiful circuits in Europe watched by the fans.
795: the number of journalists accredited for the World Series by Renault throughout the season, who were able to see for themselves the show on the track and in the village.
1100: the number of horses put out by the Renault Premium Course, the star of the Renault Trucks Show in Hungary! Other on-track entertainment delighted the fans like the Renault Classic Show and the ballet of the R5s, whose fortieth anniversary was highlighted this season, the Renault Sport Show with the skills of its drivers at the wheel of the Mégane R.S, and the 400 m standing start of the Limited Edition Clio R.S Red Bull Racing RB7 against the Red-Bull Renault RB6!
2013: the ninth season of the World Series by Renault, which will start at Motorland Aragon followed by Spa-Francorchamps, the Moscow Raceway, the Red Bull Ring, the Hungaroring, Paul Ricard with the final meeting on the Montmelo circuit in Catalonia.
