Nurburgring

After Jean-Eric Vergne at Motorland Aaragon and Daniel Ricciardo at Spa-Francorchamps, this weekend Sébastien Buemi is present at the Nürburgring to add some spice to the Red Bull Racing Renault F1 Show. At the wheel of the Red Bull RB6 he gave the spectators the opportunity to hear the sound of the RS27 Renault engine as its high-pitched scream echoed between the grandstands. The affable smiling Swiss went to meet the fans and told us how happy he is to be there.

“It’s great to be at the wheel of the Red Bull,” he smiled. “In addition the RB6 has the double diffuser - it’s very quick! Last year we were no longer allowed to use this system so it’s a big change! I get a real kick out of driving the car and I hope to have the opportunity to do it again – why not in an official session?”

The Red Bull Racing third/reserve driver also said how much he liked the concept of the World Series by Renault: “These championships are a good school for drivers, especially when they start in FR 2.0. Then there are several paths that lead to F1 and the FR 3.5 Series is a very good launch pad to get there. If a driver wins one of these two championships he’s got the right skills to get into F1.”
