Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup moves on to Spa-Francorchamps for the second race meeting of this year’s championship, with Pieter Schothorst (R-Ace Grand Prix) looking to put a difficult start to his season at Motorland, Alcaniz behind him.
The Spa circuit, nestled in the Ardenne Forest is famous for its unpredictable, inclement weather. The drivers are in for a challenge as this weekend looks to be no different with thundery showers forecast for Saturday; a difficult prospect for even the most accomplished racer.
The spirited Dutchman is hoping to prove his ability at this legendary circuit that contains one of the most famous and thrilling corners in motor racing, the Eau Rouge/Raidillon combination. When considering the task ahead he has shown the usual confidence we’ve come to expect of him:
