Formula Renault 3.5
The new Formula Renault 3.5 is fitted with the Drag Reduction System. Unlike Formula One, there is no DRS zone in Formula Renault 3.5 Series, with drivers instead allowed to use it for a limited time period during races.
The time allocation will be determined at each track following analysis of data collated during the collective testing sessions held on the Friday of each meeting. Drivers activate DRS by pressing a button situated on the steering wheel. A blade then disrupts the airflow through the two parts of the rear ring and reduces drag.
