Nail biting weekend of racing ahead

Round 5 of the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup series heads to Silverstone, England in what promises to be an enthralling weekend of racing. Considered to be the home of British motorsport, Silverstone has recently opened its new ‘Wing’ pit and paddock complex providing first rate facilities for the drivers and teams. This has cemented its place amongst the elite of Motorsport and has added to its status as one of the world’s most iconic and challenging tracks.

Pieter has stated that the historic Silverstone is his favourite track and so it will be the ideal place for the Dutchman to recapture the form which saw him score his first points of the season at the Nürburgring.

A warm and dry weekend is forecast as the drivers take to starting grid, providing the ideal racing conditions. Despite the alterations in recent years to the track Silverstone remains one of the quickest tracks in the racing calendar. The smooth surface provides high amounts of grip for the cars and with a mix of corners and more overtaking opportunities the track will provide a stern test of the both the drivers and cars abilities. Pieter will need to display the same steely determination and tenacity he has shown throughout the series as he looks to put more points on the table in the drivers’ standings.

Silverstone can always be relied upon to provide a weekend of excitement and drama and this weekend should be no different, definitely one to watch!
