Moscow Raceway

In 2012, in typically innovative style, Renault Sport Technologies made the bold move of taking the World Series by Renault to Russia. The inaugural Russian meeting, held at the recently opened Moscow Raceway, was a flyaway success, with 85,000 spectators enjoying top-class race action and a world of entertainment in the Renault Village. It was the first international race meeting to be held in the Moscow region, and has since inspired several other events to head to Russia.

The World Touring Car Championship stopped off at Moscow Raceway in June, with the DTM (German Touring Car Masters) poised to do the same at the end of August. The Formula 1 World Championship, meanwhile, will soon also include a Russian round, with a race due to be held in Sotchi in 2014.
