Kicking off the first meeting of the new season the Dutchman returns to Motorland, Aragón. The high-speed circuit offers a variety of blind bends and long straights. The exciting circuit configuration, designed by well-known German architect Hermann Tilke, creates many possibilities for aggressive overtaking and exhaustive excitement for fans.

"Motorland Aragón is a high-speed track and with strong competition for the first 5 positions, I’m looking forward to what will be an exciting and challenging race weekend. The team and I are positive about a successful opening to the season"

After pre-season collective testing, Bas recognises the tough competition from other strong contenders. Hot rivals racing with Oregon Team, Boutsen Energy Racing and Team Lompech Sport will also do their very best to fight for the highest points possible.

French team TDS Racing (led by team manager Xavier Combet and Jacques Morello) won all the 2010 Eurocup Mégane Trophy titles (drivers, teams, gentlemen drivers) and are looking to repeat this dominating performance with Bas leading the fight from the front. Team mates Dutchmen Jeroen Schothorst, Wim Beelen and the Belgium David Dermont are all competing for the gentlemen driver title. TDS Racing, now with commitments to the Le Mans series have a lot to prove this season. On past performance they may just do it with Bas being instrumental to championship success.
