Bacheta on the rise

Silverstone was a good place for Interwetten.com Junior Team. In his home game, Brit Luciano Bacheta convinced yet again with two perfect races and rose further up in the overall ratings. With a second place in Sunday's race, he achieved his sixth podium place of the season and collected an astonishing 27 points with a fourth place the day prior.

This leaves the 20 year old young star a mere 7 points behind Arthur Pic in third place of the table. "Luciano is capable to achieve the vice championship title with a good performance at the season's finals in Barcelona on 9th and 10th October. That is our goal and would be a perfect result for our first season", team manager Michael Schneider reported happily after the successful weekend.

A total of 3 vehicles started for the Vienna junior team at Silverstone. Beside Luciano, Austrian Sandro Lukovic and Italian new recruit Federico Scionti started successfully in the kingdom. Sandro finished the two races in places 16 and 18, Federico came in 13th and 17th. "Federico was a little bit unlucky this weekend", the team manager looks back: "With so many red flags, he only had little time to get used to the new car and the new track section."

Coming up, the Interwetten.com Junior Team is planning to start at the Formula Renault NEC races in Spa (3rd October) and at the Nürburgring (17th October). " We are in negotiaions with several drivers for the two NEC races but nothing is confirmed yet. It would be a good preparation for the next season", says Michael Schneider.
