Expectations high in Germany

Round 5 of the GP3 series sees the race go to the Nürburgring in Germany. Surrounded by the stunning Eifel Mountains and built next to the world renowned Nordschleife race track the Nürburgring provides an inspirational setting for the drivers.

Luciano Bacheta took his first points of the season in round 4 in an impressive performance at Silverstone in front of a home crowd. Luchi’s performances have improved as he grows ever more comfortable with his new car and he will be looking to continue this when he takes to the track this weekend.

As the series gets nearer to the closing stages Luciano and his team will be looking to make a late push up the driver and team standings. Luchi and the RSC Mücke Motorsport team may be able to count on the support of the locals but they will need to rely on much more than the home support as the Nürburgring is known to provide a testing race experience for the drivers. The cars will often run with high down force to give maximum grip and there are a number of challenging corner combinations facing the drivers presenting few overtaking opportunities and with showers expected over the weekend a very difficult and interesting race may lie ahead.
