World Series by Renault

Margot Laffite (Eurocup Mégane Trophy) : “You often hear it said that motorsport is not as popular as it was in France but World Series by Renault’s Paul Ricard leg proves the opposite is true. It generates a huge amount of interest and the public will be out in force. You can really feel the fervour and the passion of the fans there, and it’s a wonderful feeling to be able to share that with them.”

Norman Nato (Formula Renault 3.5 Series) : “The atmosphere’s always special as far as I’m concerned. I drive for the French team DAMS and I’ve got the FFSA (French Motorsports Federation) supporting me, so I want to do really well. I’m from the region, which makes the atmosphere even more special for me. I’ll have family, friends and partners here to support me, and I’m counting on the French fans to get right behind us.”

Arthur Pic (Formula Renault 3.5 Series) : "We’ve had rain the last two years but that didn’t stop an amazing amount of spectators from coming along. A lot of people follow and know about us, which is always nice. We’ll all be happy if the sun’s shining this weekend.”

Nicolas Milan (Eurocup Clio) : "In 2011 I really wanted to win the title here at the Paul Ricard, first and foremost because it was in France but also because it meant I wouldn’t have the pressure of trying to seal the championship on the final weekend. It was a fantastic feeling to do it there, especially as I’d just won a third title in France.”

Pierre Gasly (Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0) : "I’ve got good memories of the Circuit Paul Ricard. I scored two poles and two wins in F4 there right at the end of the 2011 season. I retired from
both races last year but I’ll be trying my very best to shine on home soil.”

Eric Trémoulet (Eurocup Clio) : "The Signes curve is without a doubt the most astonishing turn of the track even though the new run-off areas are a bit less exciting... There, I got scared once, when at 200 km/h, I almost crashed into a car in trouble at the middle of the track!"
